The first named storm of the season will bring wind, rain and travel delays to Ireland and the United Kingdom from November 12 to November 13.

There will be ‘gusty showers’ across Ireland on Wednesday according to AccuWeather.

High temperatures will accompany showers with high temperatures ranging from 12-16C.

Soaking rain and howling winds will carry on from late morning through the afternoon on Thursday as the storm tracks the north and west of Ireland.

The North and Scotland will experience the heaviest rainfall and strongest winds. Wind gusts over 85 km/h are expected.

“These strong winds will cause travel delays, including air and rail travel. There can also be isolated power outages and tree damage,” according to AccuWeather.

Rainfall on Friday will be 25-50 mm from western Ireland to western Scotland.

Isolated flooding is possible in the areas hit by the storm.

Tropical Storm Kate in the Atlantic Ocean is also expected to impact Ireland on Sunday or Monday.
