Woman rescued off West Cork coast

A woman has been rescued after getting into difficulty while sailing off the West Cork coast.

The Courtmacsherry Lifeboat, the Baltimore RNLI Lifeboat and the Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 1-1-7 were all involved in the operation this evening.

The female sailor and her yacht are being brought back to Courtmacsherry Harbour.

It was the second vessel to encounter difficulties this evening, earlier a fishing boat was towed to safety after seeking assistance.
