Graham Dwyer had 'entirely predatory' relationship with Elaine O'Hara, says prosecution

The prosecution in the Graham Dwyer murder trial claims he was in an "entirely predatory" relationship with Elaine O'Hara and stabbed her to satisfy his deep-seated sexual desires.

The architect of Kerrymount Close, Foxrock denies killing the childcare worker at Killakee Mountain in August 2012.

Barrister Sean Guerin will resume his final address to the jury tomorrow morning setting out the various strands of the prosecution's case.

He alleges Mr Dwyer lured Elaine O'Hara to Killakee Mountain and stabbed her for his sexual gratification at a time when she left a psychiatric unit and could be seen as suicidal.

He describes the childcare worker as a troubled, lonely person, allegedly manipulated by a man who realised his disgusting fantasies of killing women.

Mr Guerin maintains Mr Dwyer's intent is clear from the hundreds of text messages he is alleged to have sent Elaine O'Hara on so-called untraceable phones with content that holds a mirror up to the architect's everyday life, including references to car bills and the birth of a child.
