A woman in her thirties - arrested in connection with the murder of a Lithuanian man - has been released from custody.

A woman in her thirties - arrested in connection with the murder of a Lithuanian man - has been released from custody.

It is after the body of 44-year-old Andrius Butkus was found on Mornington Beach in Co Meath on Tuesday.

He had suffered several stab wounds and head injuries.

The woman in her thirties had been arrested by Gardaí in Drogheda yesterday - but has now been released with a file due to be prepared for the DPP.

Two others - a woman in her sixties and a man in his fifties - remain in custody tonight.
