Review finds fault with HSE care of children suffering neglect
A report into children suffering neglect who have come to the attention of the HSE, has found that the victims often see little or no improvement in their circumstances.
The independent review into the practices in place to manage cases of child neglect was published yesterday by the HSE.
The audits, carried out in Roscommon, South East Dublin and Waterford examined 96 cases out of which 29 needed further assessment and intervention.
Also, 17 cases were deemed to need immediate additional actions to provide adequate safeguarding.
