Adams not concerned over release of Price tapes

Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams has said he is not concerned about the imminent release of audio tapes in which it is claimed that he was an IRA commanding officer.

Old Bailey bomber Dolours Price was found dead at her North Dublin home last night.

The 62-year-old mother of two, who was once married to the actor Stephen Rea, was a convicted IRA car bomber.

Taped interviews about her time in the IRA are now set to be released by Boston College following her death.

Speaking outside Leinster House, Mr Adams said today is not the day to be discussing those tapes.

"I have no concerns around any of those issues because they're not true," Mr Adams said.

"But this isn't the time to be rehearsing any of those arguments,

"We've just had the news of this woman's death and my thoughts are with her family."
