Pedestrian killed in Offaly road accident

A pedestrian has died following a road crash in Co Offaly today.

The man, aged in his 20s, was found with serious injuries on the Killeigh Road in Tullamore in the early hours of this morning.

He was taken to Tullamore General Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
