Gardai appeal for witnesses after fatal stabbing

Gardai in Tullamore are appealing for witnesses after a Polish man in his 30's was stabbed to death at a house on Kilbride St. at around 7 o'clock this morning.

Another man in his 30's received minor injuries in the incident.

No arrests have been made and the area remains sealed off tonight.

Garda Inspector Kieran Keyes - who is leading the investigation - told Midlands Radio they're appealing for anyone who may have information on the incident to come forward:

"I am appealing for anybody who may have heard anything or seen anything in the vicinity of Kilbride St this morning between 6.30am and 7.30am, to contact the gardai in Tullamore Garda Station at 0579327600 or indeed on the Garda confidential telephone line"
