Investigations continue after Mountjoy inmate found dead

The Irish Prison Service and Gardaí are continuing their investigations after an inmate was found dead in his cell at Mountjoy Prison in Dublin yesterday.

It is understood the man, believed to be in his 30s, was serving time for drug offences.

Foul play is not suspected, but the Irish Prison Service has confirmed that they, and the Gardaí, are carrying out investigations into the incident.
