A man in his twenties has died after he was struck by a lorry in Co. Westmeath.

A man in his twenties has died after he was struck by a lorry in Co. Westmeath.

It happened at around a 5.45pm on the N4 Mullingar by-pass.

The westbound carriageway of the N4 is currently closed and diversions are in place.

Gardaí in Mulligar are appealing for witnesses.
