Gardaí renew appeal for information on Co Monaghan hit-and-run
Gardaí investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Co Monaghan last month are today renewing their appeal for information.
Fintan Traynor (aged 20) died after being hit by a car on a road between Drumnart and Lemgare in Clonbrit in the early hours of Sunday June 26.
Gardaí are appealing for the driver of an Audi A4 car, which was seen in the area at the time of the crash, to come forward.
They are also looking to speak to anyone who used the road between 2am and 730am on the morning of the crash.
Officers say the road where the crash happened is not widely used and they believe there are people out there who have information and have not come forward.
Gardaí are also appealing to garages who may have been asked to carry out recent repairs on cars to contact them.
They also want to speak to the driver of the car who dropped the victim and his friend home from Castleblaney that morning to come forward.
