An Bord Pleanála has approved plans by EirGrid to build an electricity interconnector between Ireland and Wales.

An Bord Pleanála has approved plans by EirGrid to build an electricity interconnector between Ireland and Wales.

The proposed link would enable the two-way transmission of power between the two countries from 2012.
