Gardaí examine hotel fire scene

A forensic examination is taking place at the scene of a hotel fire in Co Wexford.

No one was injured in the blaze which broke out at the Pine Country House Hotel, near Gorey, last night.

Seven units and 25 fire fighters from Wexford's Fire Service attended the scene.

Fire fighter, Simon Geraghty, said it took a number of hours to get the fire under control.

Mr Geraghty said: "This fire really caught hold very rapidly and spread throughout the upper portions of the building. We had it under control by about midnight."
