A man has been seriously injured in a road crash in Co. Westmeath.

A man has been seriously injured in a road crash in Co. Westmeath.

It happened at Castletown Geoghegan just outside Mullingar at around 11pm on Friday night.

The man was the only occupant of the car, which hit a wall.

He was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
