Motorist killed in Kerry bus crash

A motorist was killed tonight when her car collided with a bus in Co Kerry.

The woman, in her 50s, was travelling alone when she was involved in the road crash in the Bus Eireann vehicle.

There were no passengers on the bus at the time.

Gardaí at Killarney are investigating the collision at Brennan’s Glen on the N22 Killarney to Farranfore Road just before 8.30pm.

A garda spokesman said the road remained closed tonight as traffic collision investigators examined the scene. Diversions are in place.

“Witnesses or anyone with information in respect of the collision are requested to contact the Gardaí at Killarney Garda Station,” he added.

The woman’s body has been removed to Tralee General Hospital.
