Road worker seriously injured in gas cylinder explosion

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being injured in an explosion while laying road markings in Sligo yesterday evening.

The man, who is believed to be from the North, suffered serious burns when a gas cylinder exploded on the truck that was laying the markings.
