A homeless man who was due to go on trial at the Central Criminal Court accused of the murder of former traffic warden in Dublin has had his trial date vacated after he died last month.

A homeless man who was due to go on trial at the Central Criminal Court accused of the murder of former traffic warden in Dublin has had his trial date vacated after he died last month.

The Central Criminal Court heard today that 23-year-old Gerard Cullen Brady died after he was found in the Midlands Prison on March 30. He was due to stand trial in June for the murder of 80-year-old Vincent Plunkett at a flat in Robinson Court, off Cork Street, Dublin, between August 13 and 14.
