New security initiative agreed in wake of Securicor raid

A major new security operation is set to be introduced in Dublin in an effort to prevent further so-called 'tiger kidnappings' and raids on cash-in-transit vans.

Details of the initiative were agreed last night during emergency talks between Gardai and security firms following Monday's €1.3m Securicor robbery.
