Woman arrested after heroin worth €1.7m seized following house search 

In a search of a house in Carlow Town, 12kg of suspected heroin was found alongside cannabis and tablets

Heroin worth almost €1.7m has been seized by gardaí.

The haul came after gardaí from the Carlow Drugs Initiative stopped and searched a car in the town and discovered cannabis with a street value of more than €136,000 on Sunday.
