Two men critical after separate stabbings in Cork and Dublin
Two young men are in a critical condition in hospital this morning after being stabbed in separate incidents in Dublin and Cork overnight.
In Cork, a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the chest during an argument that broke out on the street at 12.05am at Mount St Josephs Heights near Gurranabraher.
He was removed to hospital following the attack and underwent emergency surgery early this morning.
Meanwhile, an investigation is underway into a stabbing that occurred at 4.30am in the Dublin suburb of Crumlin.
A 26-year-old man was stabbed a number of times following a row outside a house on Cashel Road.
The victim, who is believed to be an Englishman, was removed to St James’s Hospital, where he is described as being in a critical but stable condition.
No arrests have been made in relation to either incident.
