Controversy continues in Tullamore haircuts row
The controversy surrounding the three boys banned from sitting their Junior Cert exams at a Co Offaly school is continuing to rumble on this morning.
The three teenagers were told on Wednesday that they would only be allowed to sit the first exam and would not be welcome after that.
The principal of Tullamore College said they breached school rules by getting extremely short haircuts.
The boys were told to sit their exams at another school in Clara over the past two days, but one has reportedly refused to do so, insisting that he has done nothing wrong.
Reports this morning say Enda Carroll is planning to repeat the exams elsewhere next year.
A special examinations centre has since been established at Tullamore College especially for the students, but this morning's reports say another of three - Sean Treacy - is refusing to sit his exams there.
He is reportedly planning to return to Clara today rather than be segregated from his fellow pupils in Tullamore.
