Cowen opens state-of-the-art laboratory

The new State Laboratory in Co Kildare has been officially opened.

The facilities, at Backweston, including the Central Veterinary Research Laboratories, were relocated in 2001 to make way for the defunct "Bertie Bowl" at Abbotstown.
