DUP denies involvement in raid on UUP man’s office
The Democratic Unionist Party has denied that it had any involvement in the PSNI's move to raid the office of an Ulster Unionist Party assemblyman last Friday.
Michael Copeland's office was searched as part of an investigation into money laundering.
The DUP has claimed that UUP members have been insinuating that their unionist rivals were somehow behind the raid.
However, party spokesman Sammy Wilson said today that the PSNI action was not the result of a complaint from the DUP.
The UUP has delayed the launch of its election manifesto for fear that questions about the raid could overshadow its policies.
