Ruling due in Murphy appeal
The only man convicted in connection with the Omagh bombing is to learn today whether his appeal is successful.
Colm Murphy was jailed for 14 years in 2002 at the Special Criminal Court for conspiring to cause the Real IRA explosion which killed 29 people.
The 51-year-old builder from Ravensdale, Co Louth, appealed his conviction on 45 grounds, including the fact that two garda detectives involved in the investigation were found to have perjured themselves and falsified interview notes.
The Court of Criminal Appeal is due to deliver its verdict at 10.15am today.
Meanwhile, two of the garda detectives involved in the Murphy trial are due to face perjury charges at the Dublin District Court today.
Detective Garda Liam Donnelly and Detective Garda John Fahy gave evidence at the Murphy trial in 2002.
