Man killed in Charleville housefire

A man in his 30s has died in a house fire in Charleville, Co Cork.

A woman and two children managed to escape the blaze, which broke out at around 5.20am at De Valera Place.

However, the dead man was trapped inside as the house was engulfed by flames.

A post mortem is due to be carried out on his body later today. The scene has also been sealed off as gardaí attempt to determine the cause of the fire.
