Fresh appeal for man missing in Paris

Irish people with relatives or friends in Paris have been asked to enlist their help in locating a disabled Dublin man missing for the last five days.

Forty-two-year-old old Brendan Brady from Palmerstown was on a trip to Eurodisney organised by Rehab when he went missing in Paris last Wednesday.

Mr Brady has muscular dystrophy, scoliosis and a speech impediment.

An Irish detective who specialises in locating missing people has been hired by the Rehab group; he arrived in the French capital today to join the search.

French police have confirmed a sighting of Mr Brady on Saturday evening at 7pm in the Place St Augustin, near Boulevard Hausmann in central Paris.

Rehab Spokesperson Chris Macey is hoping Irish people based in France may also be able to help.

Mr Macey says a special telephone number has been set up for anyone in Ireland who may have information on Mr Brady’s whereabouts. That number is 087 6593733.

Otherwise people in France are being asked to contact the police in Paris or the Irish embassy there.
