Taoiseach welcomes re-opening of Monaghan inquest
The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has welcomed the decision to re-open the inquest into the deaths of six people in the 1974 Monaghan bombing.
Mr Ahern said he hoped the re-opening of the inquest would help the healing process.
He said he hoped the findings of the Barron Inquiry would help establish the truth behind the bombings of both Monaghan and Dublin in May 1974.
