Gardaí probe Louth garda station arson attempt

Gardaí in Co Louth are investigating an apparent attempt to set fire to the garda station in Dromad today.

A car that was stolen across the border in Newry, Co Down, was set alight and driven to the front of the station at around 5am.

A garda who was on duty inside escaped uninjured.
