Attack on loyalist blamed on deposed paramilitaries
Yesterday's attack on leading loyalist, Sammy Duddy in Belfast was launched by deposed paramilitaries, according to reports.
Two bullets were fired through the front door of Mr Duddy's house in North Belfast, just days after he was appointed spokesperson of the UDA's political wing.
Mr Duddy, who replaced UDA shooting victim Davy Mahood in the Ulster Political Research Group, said other loyalists were trying to scare him.
A statement issued last night by the group appeared to link the attack to the UDA's 'C' Company in West Belfast.
