Pro-agreement parties agree on closer co-operation

The pro-agreement parties in the North have agreed to meet more regularly in an attempt to manage difficulties which emerge in the Irish peace process.

The agreement was reached at more than four hours of talks today between Sinn Fein, the SDLP, the UUP, the PUP, the Alliance Party and the Women’s Coalition.

The talks, which also involved representatives from the Irish and British Governments, were set up ahead of round-table talks next week.
