Ireland reacts to US terrorist attack

The cabinet sub-committee on security has met at Government buildings in Dublin to discuss the implications of the terrorist attacks on the US for Irish people.

The Department of Foreign Affairs phone lines will remain open all night to deal with queries from worried families and friends of New York residents and workers.
