The Union of Students in Ireland is holding a protest outside the Dept of Education in Dublin today over the accommodation crisis facing students returning to university in a few weeks' time.

The Union of Students in Ireland is holding a protest outside the Dept of Education in Dublin today over the accommodation crisis facing students returning to university in a few weeks' time.

USI is demanding fair rent, full tenants' rights and further investment in student-purpose accommodation. USI welfare officer, John Paul Swaine, said things had been very bad regarding the issue of availability and affordability for some time.
