Lotto has created 800 millionaires in 27 years
The organisation created more than 800 millionaires over the last 27 years, paying out 810 prizes worth €1m or more.
The winners received an average prize of €3.23m from their wins playing the Lotto, Euromillions, Daily Million or Millionaire raffle.
The National Lottery made payouts to 296 people in Dublin, making it the county with the highest amount of players winning a prize of a million euro or more, with an average payout of €3.17m.
This is followed by Cork, Kerry and Tipperary, with 127 millionaires awarded an average payment of €2.8m, and Galway and Mayo, with 69 players winning an average of €3.25m.
Winners in Limerick and Clare received the highest payouts nationwide, with 45 winners securing an average of €5m.
However, this figure includes the jackpot Euromillions win by Limerick woman Dolores McNamara.
Ms McNamara won €115m in 2005 with a ticket purchased in Garryowen, Limerick, the biggest Irish lotto win ever.
The figures also show that 54 players in Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford received an average payout of €4.7m, making it the region with the second highest payouts.
Meanwhile, 55 players won a million or more in counties Meath and Louth, with an average payout of €2.5m. Counties Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim had 52 winners awarded €2.7m; 48 winners in counties Kildare and Wicklow were awarded €2.9m; 45 winners in counties Laois, Westmeath, Offaly, Longford, Roscommon were awarded €3.3m.
Counties Monaghan and Cavan had the lowest amount of winners in the country with 18 winners getting an average of €2.65m.
