Tristan Forde and family reunited for Christmas after cannabis oil treatment

A family that spent a year apart so one of their little boys could undergo life-changing cannabis oil treatment in the US has been reunited for Christmas.

Brave Tristan Forde, who turns three on St Stephen’s Day, was hailed a hero as he turned on the Christmas lights in Dunmanway in West Cork just hours after arriving home from Colorado with his mother, Yvonne.

Tristan, who has a rare form of epilepsy, was experiencing dozens of prolonged and severe seizures this time last year.
