Crosshaven to welcome thousands ready to set sail for Cork Week

Crosshaven will be thronged with thousands of people over the next few days as sailing events for Volvo Cork Week kick off surrounded by onshore entertainment and with a special flypast by the air corps.

There are two new events within the racing this year — the inaugural IRC European Championships and the International Inter Sailing Services Competition, the Beaufort Cup.

Racing takes place from next Monday to Thursday and each evening the tented village at Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven will feature live bands and DJs.
