Short film hopes to raise awareness of Alzheimers

Filmed and directed by Adam O'Dwyer, "Come Back to Me" is being referred to as “emotive” and “extremely powerful” and as having “a very strong message”.

The Thurles based film-maker described the film as the most difficult project he had ever undertaken.

"A lot of people who see it will be emotionally invested because everyone knows someone with Alzheimer's. The writing process took a few months because I put a lot of pressure on myself to make sure that the script I wrote was true to life ... ‘Come Back to Me’ is very much a tragedy.

"I’m delighted with the response so far and I hope that it get’s people thinking about entire families who are impacted by the disease."

The young film-maker went on to thank the 'fantastic' cast and crew who worked on the project.

The film-make said he also hoped the film would encourage families to seek further help from organisations like the Alzheimer Society of Ireland .
