Finger of blame pointed far and wide
As parliamentary business got under way, and protesters massed at the Kildare Street entrance, a howl of deep emotional pain reverberated through the ancient stone of Leinster House. “Where’s me job, where’s me job, dear God almighty, where’s me job.”
For the third time in as many months, Alan Shatter used Dáil privilege to attack those who he blames for his fall from high office last May. On the other two occasions, the focus of his attack was Sean Guerin, the barrister whose report put the nail in Shatter’s ministerial career.
