Protesters warn HSE to shorten waiting lists

Amputees will give the HSE until June 14 to shorten drastically waiting lists for prosthetic fittings in Cork and Kerry or they will mount further protests.

Following a demonstration outside HSE South headquarters in Cork last week, protesters were given assurances extra money would be found to reduce the waiting list to six weeks.

It recently emerged 120 people are on the waiting list in the South-West. Some have been waiting since last November.
