Crescent Comprehensive 19, Castletroy College 5: Holders Crescent qualified for the St Patricks Day final at Thomond Park when they scored a well deserved 19-5 victory over Castletroy College in the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup at  UL. 

Amputees will give the HSE until June 14 to shorten drastically waiting lists for prosthetic fittings in Cork and Kerry or they will mount further protests.

Teenager Ronan Kiely, who has been waiting for an artificial leg since last November, has been told he will shortly get a replacement.

A teenager who lost a leg when he was just two years old has spoken of his “anger” at being denied a proper, active life by the HSE, which claims it can’t afford €4,000 for his replacement prosthetic.

TWELVE-year-old Ronan Kiely lost his leg in a lawnmower accident when he was two years old and, thanks to an excellent prosthesis service on Cork’s northside, he has never felt different to any other child.
