Rape victim goes public after man jailed for ‘repulsive’ attacks

In a statement read outside the Central Criminal Court, 25-year-old Ruth Dunne said she was “very pleased” with the decision to sentence 62-year-old Stephen ‘Rossi’ Walsh to 10 years in jail for the horrific attacks against her. The woman made the comment after Mr Justice Paul Carney described the assaults on the then nine-year-old by Walsh as the “most repulsive” he has ever encountered.

Between January 1 and November 9, 1993, the notorious criminal repeatedly raped the nine-year-old in a series of sickening attacks.
