Special Branch: Cat-astrophe avoided

Special Branch: Cat-astrophe avoided

When Albert Kleyn, chairman of the Cork Animal Care Society heard that none of the rescue services had been able to rescue the miserable moggy, he sprang into action. When he arrived at the thick trees in the grounds of Bushmount Nursing Home in Clonakilty, locals told him the “miaow” emanating from high above had been getting progressively weaker.

“I went to Clonakilty Toolhire, who were extremely helpful. They even pulled a cherry-picker off a building site but unfortunately it was too short,” said Mr Kleyn.
