Value of drugs seized passes record €200m

THE value of drugs seized this year has breached the €200 million mark for the first time.

The final figure is expected to be in excess of €220m when the full tally is compiled early in the new year.

This value does not take into account high levels of purity, which would multiply this figure several times.
