GARDAÍ are investigating separate shooting incidents in Limerick and Cork.

A man, who was shot in the leg as he walked in the Garryowen area of Limerick on Sunday night, underwent surgery at the Mid-Western Regional hospital yesterday afternoon and his condition is said not to be life-threatening.

He has been named as Thomas Power, aged 20, who lives in Garryowen.
