Committee on Curtin is ‘delayed’

THE special committee gathering evidence pertaining to Judge Brian Curtin’s alleged possession of child pornography is unlikely to have its work completed by the time the Dáil returns in late September.

The committee of four TDs and three senators held its first formal hearing yesterday and is also meeting today.

When the committee was set up in early June, its chairman, Cork South West deputy Denis O’Donovan, said he hoped it would have had its work completed by September.
