NORTHERN Ireland’s John A Patterson, from Crumlin, Co Antrim, showed the Alltech senior cow champion, Wiltor Goldwyn Lausine, at last weekend’s Emerald Expo Livestock Event at the Hub, Cillin Hill, Kilkenny.

CLARE exhibitor Tom Casey had an early showing season double at Bandon last Sunday, where he won the young horse and three-year-old horse championships.

AQUILA, a five-year-old mare by Quiletto out of a Mr Lord mare, bred by Paul and Jan Turfery, Caheragh, owned by Brian Mangan, Fermoy, and ridden by Rose Marie Ahern, Carhue, Bandon, dominated the hunter classes at Clonakilty Show.
