Dan’s racer shows up again

THEY say you can take a white horse anywhere, but it seems Midleton horse trainer Dan Rohan can take his bay mare anywhere and win.

Dan’s racer shows up again

Dan’s 11-year-old Be My Allstar wasn’t broken until seven, and she embarked on a point to point racing career over the jumps in 2007.

Success followed in a mares maiden at Dromoland, followed in 2008 by a mares open win in Killaloe, and victory in a mares winner of two race in Carrigtwohill last January. In between came a third place over hurdles at Kilbeggan. Be My Allstar turned over a new leaf this spring, winning the thoroughbred broodmare classes in the agricultural shows at Midleton and at Cork Summer Show last weekend.
