IN his letter (January 14), James McGrath takes me to task for my “mistaken” opinions blaming the public sector for what he calls the unprecedented fiscal challenges facing the country.

I DISAGREE with Adrian Cosby (Letters, January 6) when he says it is a mistake to berate those who have made such a mess of the banks and our economy.

THE “dismay” expressed by Mick Billane (Letters, December 29) that ordinary people felt it necessary to protest at the cuts in education would be laughable if it was not so serious.
