Electorate should vote for women candidates
For women to have more power in our democratic system of government there is certainly no need for grandiose proclamations by Jim Cosgrove for a ‘a re-assertion of independence from the global marketeering mentality and dog-eat-dog competitive mantras’.
All it needs is for the electorate to vote for the increased number of women candidates at the next election.
Ameliorating the dog-eat-dog competitive mania that led the banks, for example, to contribute to the bankrupting of the country is a different issue altogether and will take much longer, if ever.
