Silence not the answer

I DISAGREE with Adrian Cosby (Letters, January 6) when he says it is a mistake to berate those who have made such a mess of the banks and our economy.

The excuse he gives as to why we should all shut up, put up and pay up is that “the world’s media is looking”.

If those powerful people responsible for the mess are not held to account, neither the world’s media nor, more importantly, the ordinary people of this country will be very impressed.
