Celebrity homes among those destroyed and film production ceases in LA amid wildfires

As wildfires continue to cause havoc in Los Angeles, among the structures destroyed are the homes of famous celebrities, with several production recordings being halted due to the flames.
The fire in Eaton near Pasadena that started on Tuesday night has burned more than 5,000 structures, including homes, apartment buildings, businesses, outbuildings and vehicles.
To the west in Pacific Palisades, the largest of the fires burning in the LA area, has destroyed more than 5,300 structures.
Between the Eaton and Palisades fires, more than 10,000 structures have burned.
All of the large fires that have broken out this week in the Los Angeles area are located in a roughly 25-mile band north of downtown.
The wildfires have burned the homes of several celebrities including Billy Crystal, Tina Knowles and Paris Hilton.
Ms Hilton posted a video on social media showcasing the damage done to her home which has left her âdevastated beyond words.â
Ms Hilton continued by saying her loved ones and pets are safe, and she is âbeyond gratefulâ to the firefighters, first responders, and volunteers who are risking their lives to control the fires.

Tina Knowles, the mother of singer Beyoncé confirmed on Instagram that she lost her bungalow located in Malibu to the fires.
The Instagram post read:
âIt was my favorite place, my sanctuary , my sacred Happy Place . Now it is gone !! God Bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions . We Thankyou for your dedication and bravery and for saving so many lives.â
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis also took to Instagram to ask people to post âfactsâ about the fire and added itâs a terrifying situation.
âPLEASE POST FACTS! IT WILL HELP THOSE WONDERING! It is a terrifying situation and I'm grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze,â the post read.
Production came to a halt in Los Angeles on Wednesday as the fires continued to sweep across the state.
Variety.com reported that FilmLA, the permitting agency for shoots in Los Angeles issued a statement saying: âpersonnel resources ordinarily available to support film production may not be available during the local State of Emergency.âÂ
They also reported that NBCUniversal has suspended filming in Los Angeles, as well as Amazon, who postponed the production of season 2 of Fallout.
CBS Studios shut down NCIS, NCIS: Origins, After Midnight, Poppaâs House, The Neighbourhood and the tapings of After Midnight, while Disney-20th halted Jimmy Kimmell Live, Greyâs Anatomy and Doctor Odyssey, according to Variety.com.
